I’ve been a user of Slim-Fast Low-Carb and Atkins shakes. Seeing that these were only 110 calories, and had good nutritional stats, I thought I’d try them. They taste as if someone mixed cocoa and artificial sweetener with water – no thickness, no mouthfeel. I cannot imagine having one of these shakes for lunch and feeling satisfied – they wouldn’t even qualify in my book as a lunchtime beverage. Yuk!

This product tastes TERRIBLE. It’s thin, watery and has a somewhat gritty texture. It is slightly bitter and leaves a bad aftertaste. It may be nutritionally sound but you wont benefit from that if you can’t drink it without gagging. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. YOU’LL REGRET IT IF YOU DO!

I at first was going to send it back before trying it, but then I changed my mind. Today I tried it for the first time and couldn’t even finish the can. I found it awful. So now I have a case of a drink that I can’t tolerate.

I just had one and I didn’t like it at all, I really didnt enjoy it. Its like a chemical drink, but I have to keep drinking. I will not buy again

That’s the best description of the flavor of this drink. The only thing that allows you to finish the can after you’ve opened it is the fact that it’s delivering nutritional benefit. Just like when you take medicine that has an awful taste. There’s also the fact that you spent money on it and you’re not going to throw it away. I have tried the chocolate flavor of Slim Fast which is 250 calories as oppose to 110 in this drink. The flavor of the Slim Fast chocolate drink is leagues ahead. I don’t think the nutritional content is the same, but it does deliver a very good amount. I believe the protein content of Zoic is better, however.
