This “marzipan” arrived fresh, sweet, and cute, but the flavor of almonds, which makes marzipan, marzipan was non existant. Save your money on this one.

They arrived the other day. I opened them tonight as tradition in my house before Easter. I don’t feel the almond sugar ratio is proper. 1/3 almond and 2/3 sugar. I did not know this by reading the advertisment. Proper marzipan is 1 to 1 ratio of almonds (the finest almonds) and sugar. I thought the Wisconsin cheese man’s had a better almond taste quite honestly and for half the price to boot. The marzipan arrived squished down so they aren’t all that pretty to set out for guests. I guess I will take this as a learning experience. Wishing I had bought chocolate and got marzipan at Wisconsin Cheesman’s instead.

Like the other reviewer, our Leonidas Marzipan Fruits arrived fresh, cute, just the right amount of sweetness. However, our Maripan is full of yummy almond flavors. My family really enjoys this treat, perhaps the other reviewer got a bad batch or Leonidas took his/her advice and improved?
